With the “Safe travel” label you can relax without worry and focus on recharging your “batteries” by following these two labels wherever you go in Croatia. Our campsite, too, along with a whole network of hotels, restaurants, tourist boards, transport companies and numerous cultural institutions, is one of these hospitality and tourism providers – in other words, a place where you can feel safe.
Statistics say that we spend 90% of our time indoors, and the pandemic has increased this percentage further. The average child spends around six hours a day in front of a screen (computer, TV, mobile phone…), which in many cases is more time than they spend with their parents.
Everyone already knows about the benefits of spending time outdoors, and that nature is our greatest ally in achieving physical and mental health. Oxygen, the forest microbiome, vitamin D and the healing sounds of rustling treetops, lakes or rivers strengthen our immunity, improve lung capacity, support mental health, help us release stress faster and more easily, relax us on every level and fill us with energy. What exactly does the “Safe stay in Croatia” label mean?
This label confirms that a destination or location in Croatia complies with all protocol and epidemiological measures for your safety, and it is also the name of a national project launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the Croatian National Tourist Board.
What does the “Safe stay in Croatia” label include for campsites?
– notices about epidemiological measures displayed in a visible place inside the campsite;
– an obligation to keep the prescribed distance in shared indoor and outdoor areas;
– hand sanitiser and body temperature gauges displayed in shared rooms;
– regular disinfection of rooms, work surfaces (restaurant) and sanitary blocks;
– an obligation to wear a face mask in shared areas, and for restaurant staff to wear protective gloves as well;
– disinfection of mobile homes, bed linen and towels at every change of guest;
– a safety kit, the so-called Safety Kit, provided at the guest’s request (face mask, gloves, disinfectant);
– Room service at the guest’s request (food delivered to your accommodation unit) while the restaurant is open (the service costs an extra HRK 75);
– the option of ordering breakfast delivered to your accommodation unit, the so-called Breakfast box, at the guest’s request at a promotional price of HRK 50 from 1 March to 1 May 2021 (the regular price outside this period is HRK 105);
– a limit on the number of people in the pool (when it is open) to maintain the required physical distance, and an obligation for everyone entering the pool to disinfect (pre-wash).

What exactly does the “Safe travel” label mean?
This label is a worldwide certification awarded by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WWTC), which indicates safe travel according to global health and hygiene protection standards.
Additional measures in place for your safe stay:
Besides the epidemiological measures introduced for your safe stay, Camping Plitvice benefits from the natural isolation of the whole property and the unspoilt nature surrounding it, and all luxury mobile homes have their own private entrance and their own spacious terrace, which gives every guest complete privacy. Most of the standard offer and facilities are outdoors (including the gym).

You can arrange activities as soon as you book your accommodation and plan your carefree, fulfilling holiday in advance. Available free of charge: playroom, amphitheatre, basketball, badminton or handball court, outdoor gym. For an extra charge you can hire electric bikes, various adrenaline activity packages or go horse riding, and visit Plitvice Lakes National Park just 3 km from the campsite or other attractions such as Dolina jelena ranch, Baraćeve špilje and more.
New services and activities at Camping Plitvice:
Every year we expand our offer and our cooperation with external partners to bring you rich programmes for enjoying the beauty of nature and the surrounding area. This offer includes: mountain excursions with tastings of traditional dishes, visits to the “Runolist” cheese dairy or the lavender fields of local family farms; apitherapy honey inhalation treatment or a meditation course, and many others.
Camping Plitvice opening information:
- All luxury DELUXE and PREMIUM mobile homes with a modern design and 5 stars and all camping pitches and tent pitches are available to you all year round;
- The restaurant and pool are planned to open to the public from 1 May 2021, depending on the epidemiological measures in force at the time. The restaurant is open daily from 7:00 to 23:00;
- FIRST MINUTE accommodation bookings with a 25% discount are only available if you book a stay for the period from 1 May to 31 December 2021 by the first of May at the latest. and book your accommodation!
