Camping Plitvice: a paradise for active travellers and athletes

Athletes and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts visited Camping Plitvice

In May, Camping Plitvice hosted a mini meet-up of influencers focused on sport and a healthy lifestyle, including Andrea Solomun, Andrea Papst Lopac, Jelena Orešković and Ana Jagarinec, food bloggers Barbara Medić and Ana Verbanac, who promote healthy eating, Sabrina Hebiri, the well-known singer of A-strana, and influencers Luka Lajić and Ivana Pirizović. Photographer Ana Ivančić Šola, who captured the moments spent at the campsite, is herself a travel blogger who happily shares “tips&tricks” from her travels on her blog, and she says she enjoyed her stay with us.

Besides Pilates with Ana Jagarinec on the lawn inside the campsite and strength training with Andrea Solomun in the CrossFit zone, everyone enjoyed great food, good sleep and rest. At the facial exercise class led by Jelena Orešković they learned all sorts of beauty tricks, and the get-together continued over an excellent lička plata on the restaurant terrace by the pools. The “feel good” vibe was kicked off by an adrenaline-filled ride down a 300 m zipline into the Korana River canyon at Adrenaline Park Plitvice, while the next day, on a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, they enjoyed the beauty of the Plitvice region with its lush green vegetation, natural watercourses and hilly areas.

“Camping Plitvice is a complete discovery for me! I mean, finding so many facilities in pure nature, where you have a pool, a children’s playground, my mobile home looks out onto the playground… I get a real holiday while my girls play! It simply gives parents a chance to step away from everyday life or from worrying about their children, because the children are inside the campsite and you can see them while they play. There are also facilities for adults, and what’s especially important to me is that there are sports facilities too. The food is excellent! I mean, restaurant food is rarely good, but here it’s excellent – from Lika specialities, such as a typical Lika breakfast, to modernised dishes – believe me, when that comes from a woman from Lika, you know it’s true! And the children are over the moon and want to keep coming back.” – said Jelena Orešković, one of Croatia’s best-known models and now a Pilates and facial exercise instructor, sharing her experience of her stay at Camping Plitvice.

Camping Plitvice also hosted famous world travellers and vloggers

In May, Camping Plitvice was also visited by well-known travel bloggers and world travellers on the occasion of Vlogfest. The six world travellers competing included Julia Trenker from Austria, Parker Sheppard from America, Evan Edinger from England, Stefano Cicchini from Italy, Mikita and Anna from Italy, and our own well-known Kristijan Iličić from Croatia. Vlogfest brings together influencers from all over the world who travel and film to experience first-hand the best that tourist destinations have to offer. This year Croatia was the host for the second time in a row, and cities from the north to the south of Croatia took part in the competition and in showcasing Croatia’s beauty.
