Another challenging season lies ahead of us. We have opened our doors to guests, and in this short series you will get to know some of our staff. Today we “brought in” our colleague @Anja Kandrač for a short chat. Anja has been working as Head of the Marketing and Sales Department at Camping Plitvice for two years and has been part of our team from day one.

Preparations for the 2021 season are already complete, but because of the epidemiological situation this will be another very uncertain season. We asked Anja how the pandemic has affected guests’ behaviour compared with the period before the pandemic: “I have noticed more caution and responsibility among guests, and greater awareness of safety and hygiene measures. We are also seeing a significant increase in arrivals of guests from Croatia, especially in the 5th and 6th months of last year. Croatian guests are not usually primarily camping guests. Because of the reduced opportunities to travel outside Croatia, I believe that many people have been discovering, and are still discovering, parts of our country they have not had the chance to visit until now, which makes our campsite an excellent destination.”
What are the forecasts for this season?: “We are following how the situation develops, but we are ready. The teams are in place and we are all on the starting blocks. The whole coronavirus situation has made guests realise they should spend more time in nature, outdoors. They are looking for the privacy and distance that a campsite can offer them. Our guests are delighted with the destination and the location of the campsite because of the nature and the outdoor facilities we offer. We are a 10-minute drive from Plitvice Lakes National Park, so in most cases our 17 mobile homes serve as a break from activities and excursions. Our guests can enjoy the lawns of their 120 m2 pitches, the terraces of the mobile homes or the pool with food and drinks. Camping Plitvice is the only 5-star campsite in the Plitvice Lakes area.
Guests are delighted with the service and facilities that our category offers. In addition, we offer a wealth of excursions and activities in the destination, such as kayaking, rafting, cycling and hiking tours, apitherapy (honey therapy), meditation, zipline, quad bike rides, horse riding, paragliding and a visit to Baraćeve špilje.”
