You are probably familiar with the positive effects of hydrotherapy on health, beauty and, let’s not forget, relaxation. Together with the other benefits of our Plitvice region, such as the healing air or the wondrous watercourses and the phenomenon of the local landforms – it will pamper all your senses.
Hydrotherapy has a positive effect on physical and mental health, and a hydromassage tub is the perfect hydrotherapy. Jets of water target specific areas of the body, especially those where most stress builds up – such as the neck, shoulders, back and legs. Warm baths are known to encourage detoxification, helping to reduce cellulite and give the skin a better appearance. Additional features built into the jacuzzi, such as LED lighting and music, help create a relaxed mood or bring fun and an invitation to socialise. And best of all, the jacuzzi can be used all year round.
Whenever you come during the season and whatever your arrangement (private or business), you will be able to enjoy the unique experience of the benefits of hydromassage and a warm bath in the open air.
We see these as life’s small pleasures that lead to a grand style of living.
Apart from being good fun, a jacuzzi has many benefits:
A JACUZZI REDUCES STRESS
As New York dermatologist Dr Bobby Buka told Healthline, “your skin releases endorphins in response to soothing warm water in the same way endorphins are released when you feel the sun on your skin.” Endorphins are natural chemicals in the brain that are released in response to certain activities, and with high levels of endorphins we feel less pain and fewer negative effects of stress. The soothing effect of warm water together with massage can help release physical, emotional and mental stress.
RELAXES TENSE MUSCLES
Immersion in warm water, boosted by the powerful massaging pulse of the jets, can relieve pain after exercise and help release lactic acid (the cause of muscle soreness). Bathing in a hot tub before exercise can also reduce the risk of injury. It is no wonder, then, that athletes are often advised to use a jacuzzi.
RELIEVES ARTHRITIS AND BACK PAIN
The buoyancy of the water in a hydromassage tub reduces body weight by about 90 per cent, relieving pressure on the joints and muscles – especially the spine, which bears the greatest burden of the modern lifestyle. At the same time, the warmth of the water stimulates blood flow and helps ease stiffness and inflammation, especially with carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and tendonitis. Although warm baths do not cure arthritis, they are a proven way to get temporary relief from the chronic pain it causes.
BOOSTS BLOOD FLOW
The warm water in a jacuzzi can increase your heart rate and blood flow. It can also lower blood pressure by dilating the blood vessels and reducing the strain on the heart.
BRINGS RESPIRATORY BENEFITS
In addition, steam from warm water has been proven to have a positive effect on the sinuses and bronchi, and as it increases blood flow, it also promotes better oxygenation of the blood. Breathing thus becomes slower and deeper, with a better exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
HELPS YOU SLEEP BETTER
A scientific study by Washington State University in the USA reveals that soaking in a hydromassage tub for just 15–20 minutes brings the body into a state of deep relaxation and allows for a better night’s sleep. When we step out of the warm water into the outside air, which is often cooler, especially in early spring, our body enters a kind of ‘cooling-down’ period, very similar to the drop in body temperature before sleep. So in some cases a jacuzzi can also help with sleep problems and migraines.
PROMOTES HEALTHIER SKIN AND A YOUNGER LOOK
Just like a sauna, the steam from a hot tub can benefit the skin – by improving circulation, it also encourages the elimination of toxins through the skin, as well as collagen production. Using spa baths like this can therefore help reduce wrinkles and result in a fresher appearance.
How to correctly use a jacuzzi
Before getting into the jacuzzi, you should shower for hygiene reasons.
The recommended time in a hydromassage tub is up to about 30 minutes, although this can be extended to 45 minutes if the water temperature is lowered. It is also important to stay hydrated while using a hydromassage tub at higher temperatures, especially in summer when temperatures are naturally higher, as otherwise you may only exhaust your body further. If you have heart or blood pressure problems, be sure to consult a doctor before using a jacuzzi.
Besides the fact that, unlike a pool, a jacuzzi can be used all year round, even in the colder part of the season, the best thing of all is that children can enjoy it just like a pool – under supervision, of course.
But just as our Camping Plitvice enjoys its awarded five stars, you too can additionally enjoy our two outdoor pools during the summer period of the year. The pools with pool bar are for shared use and are located next to the Camping Plitvice restaurant.
Book your luxury PREMIUM or DELUXE mobile home with a jacuzzi at the start of the season and enjoy a personalised and private spa experience at any time during the season.
