Three hot “cozy” autumn drinks recommended by the Camping Plitvice restaurant

After the summer period, our restaurant Camping Plitvice takes a short winter break and is temporarily closed until the spring next year. But this does not mean that we will be in hibernation, in fact we are full of ideas and inspirations (since we are surrounded with nature which enchants us with its beauty of the seasons). So we will continue to hang out with you guys, at least online.

Therefore, we bring you three suggestions on how to make your favourite drink even more “cozy” in these colder days. Nothing warms up the body and soul better than hot drinks such as tea, cocoa (maybe hot chocolate) or coffee, in a real comfort drinks’ versions with magical ingredients.

We definitely invite you to visit us in the winter time as well, because our Premium and Deluxe mobile homes with a 5-star atmosphere are open all year round . Feel free to bring some of your favourite drinks … and while staying at our place, we suggest you set off to the red, yellow and green colourful colours of nature … and enjoy with all the senses that this time of year brings.

This is totally cozy!

Three warm “cozy” autumn drinks include:

1. A slightly different version of your favourite coffee combined with the queen of autumn (pumpkin and nutmeg)

When you prepare your favourite (instant) coffee, add three tablespoons of precooked pumpkin puree, a pinch of nutmeg, sweet cream (optional) and a natural sweetener (agave syrup or xylitol). If you want to try some additional richness of aromas, add one tablespoon of coconut butter or full fat (coconut) milk. In this way you will get a great drink that completely energizes and awakens.

Coffee is generally rich in antioxidants and in smaller quantities is beneficial for the body health. It stimulates circulation, brain activity and muscles. It also acts as a mild antidepressant because it stimulates hormones of happiness and improves mood. Pumpkin gives a creamy texture to this drink and also makes it a good prebiotic, rich in fibres. Nutmeg gives the sweetness and healing properties, awakens and even relieves pain in muscles and bones.

2. Warm tea boosted with spices for immunity (clove, cinnamon, anise, cardamom, lemon and ginger)

Add spices to your favourite fruit tea and boost your immunity. Tea is a natural source of flavonoids that trigger antioxidants in the body. Additional, spices in this drink help strengthen the immune system.

Clove, cinnamon and anise have excellent antimicrobial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, cardamom and lemon are an excellent source of vitamin C, electrolytes and iron, and ginger has a beneficial effect on metabolism.

3. Hot chocolate with spices (cinnamon, vanilla and chili)

Add sweet cream (optional), four teaspoons of organic cocoa, 200 g dark chocolate cubes, natural sweetener (agave syrup or xylitol) to the warm milk, along with spices that will make this hot drink a real hedonistic pleasure – in smell and taste. Spices such as cinnamon, vanilla and chili can be added in quantities as desired (we recommend a pinch of each), depending on how intense is (spicy) the aroma you want. Additional advice: while the milk is boiling, you can put a stick of vanilla in it and take it out after 5-10 minutes. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.

Organic cocoa will allow your body to get three times more oxidants than green tea, as well as nourish the body with minerals. Ideal for colder autumn-winter days.

Enjoy your favourite beverage and share your experiences with us.
